Biography:

John Vella has created one of the most diverse careers known in the hairdressing industry today. His commitment to excellence and his creative ability to design according to the needs of the individual has enabled him to build an illustrious clientele base of models and celebrities alike, from Kate Moss to Rachael Hunter. Voted by Allure magazine as one of the “Best of the Best”, Vella splits his time between Beverly Hills, CA at the Kim Vo Salon and Wexford, PA at Izzazu Salon & Spa.

As a runway artist, Vella has worked with some of the greatest American and European designers known in the fashion community. Icons such as Calvin Klein, Bill Blass, Oscar De La Renta, Gianfranco Ferre`, Carolina Herrera, Geoffrey Beene, Jill Sanders, Mark Badgley & James Mischka, Mary McFadden, Arnold Scaazi, Alber Elbaz, and Isaac Mizrahi.  Working with that level of talent has transformed into a distinct body of work, blended with his ability to communicate and a passion to see the people around him become successful.

Training and education has been the catalyst that had catapulted him to the position of Vice President of Technical Education for Premier Salons Intl., a platform that had enabled him to take his talent to thousands of hairdressers and lead teams of educators from across North America.

Today his travels take him to London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and Milan, to find his inspiration for his next creation. With a prestigious list of clients on both coasts, John Vella has taken the art of runway and brought it to reality.
