Q: Can you ship dry shampoo or hairspray by overnight or 2-day delivery?
Certain items considered hazardous materials including aerosols and alcohol-based products (e.g., pressurized spray cans, hairspray, etc.) are restricted and required by the U.S. Department of Transportation to be shipped by ground-only transport, due to air transport restrictions and regulations.

Q: WHAT IS RENÉ FURTERER'S RETURN POLICY?
Since 1957, René Furterer has created every product with the utmost care and passion. Should you choose to return a product, we will happily refund the original form of payment if returned within 60 days. Unfortunately, we cannot honor returns received more than 60 days from the order shipment date.
Items can be easily returned for free (no return shipping or handling fees) using our pre-paid UPS return shipping label. You may also take advantage of our printerless return label by simply presenting the QR code on the return label via a mobile device to an employee at a UPS shipping facility. We regret that we are unable to refund your original shipping charges, if applicable, unless the return was a result of our error. Rene Furterer monitors return activity for abuse and reserves the right to limit returns in all instances.

René Furterer does not perform animal testing on any of our products. Our parent company, Pierre Fabre, is dedicated to developing alternative methods to animal testing. Our final product's tolerance and effectiveness are evaluated in-vitro (laboratories) and in-vivo (on volunteer individuals).

All of our formulas and ingredients meet the rigorous standards demanded by the European cosmetics regulations and are in compliance with FDA requirements.
In the process of selecting a component, we have a double requirement: first the safety, and second the efficacy of cosmetic properties to obtain the most suitable texture (touch, penetration, perfume ...).
During their development, our products undergo numerous tests concerning bacteriology, compatibility between formula and packaging, tolerance, use etc.
All ingredients used in our products are listed on our packaging, the description of the formulas follows the international standard INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients).

We scrupulously follow the recommendations of the SCCS and the European Commission for each ingredient used as a component of our products.

Q: Are your products paraben free?
Parabens are preservatives, which are partly used in our products to prevent bacterial contamination, therefore ensuring the protection of the consumer in daily handling of our products. Parabens are legally licensed for cosmetic means and their health safety and security are extensively documented. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR), an independent panel of physicians and scientists that review cosmetic ingredients, found parabens to be safe for use in cosmetics and the FDA states that consumers do not need to be concerned with the use of cosmetics containing parabens. However, René Furterer provides various products formulated without parabens.

Q: Do your products contain sulfates?
Sulfates are surface active agents, commonly known as surfactants that are used as cleansing agents in shampoos. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is the surfactant incorporated in our products to create the lathering effect that helps cleanse hair more thoroughly by removing dirt and oil. Sodium Laureth Sulfate can only act as a skin irritant if you have a predisposition for it. Given the contact time for shampoos is relatively short, this does not present a problem for most people. It has not been proven that sulfates cause color to fade.
